The movie Pavakoothu starring Jayaram, Parvathy and Ranjini shows around 3-4 minutes of scenes at Parakovil, Trivandrum for the wedding of Jayaram and Ranjini(Prakash and Krishna). In the movie, Suryagayathri, Mohanlal and Urvashi are seen praying inside the temple. A shot is also shown where Lalettan and Urvashi come out of the exit of the temple. In My Dear Karadi, lead by Kalabhavan Mani, which is a comedy flick and revolves around the life of Mani chettan putting makeup and acting like a bear(karadi) and the happenings around him. The surroundings of Parakovil were shot when Prem Kumar(Kittunni, the hunter) tries to catch the bear(karadi) and save the local people.
