Adaminde Chayakkada is very near to the Kozhikode beach. Since we were feeling hungry after a long walk through the shore of Calicut beach, we decided to dine on some Calicut cuisines. On the way to beach itself, we noticed this place. Only having seen the photos and videos of Adaminde Chayakkada , I felt really excited to visit this place. It is definitely a one time visit for anyone who visits calicut.

The ambience is perfect such that you feel like you’re entering an antique museum. The shop is well decorated with antique materials which takes us back to the 20th century(1980s and 1990s). The old classic songs of Malayalam movies will be playing in background. So it definitely takes us back to the 90s. A board which displays conversations and words in native kozhikodan slang is written in the hotel on a large board. Must visit if you’re Kozhikode. Food was good and tasty. Don’t let the name confuse you, it is not just a chayakkada or tea shop, the menu will confuse you with wide variety of tasty foods, and the dishes are also having a Kozhikode native slang. We bought Turkish Kebab and Chattiyile Chilli chicken, which were yummilicious…
There is also an AC restuarant which serves only buffet at around 700 per head.
