thetraveltechies.com | We visited the Mattupetty(Madupetty) Dam in Munnar. The place is famous for boating and street shopping. Speed boats are available at Rs.600 for half an hour, which are available at 1km distance after the dam. At the dam, boating options are poor with pedaling boat at 300 for half an hour and an adventurous boat ride for a single person at 300 for 1 minutes. The place is a must visit place if you are in Munnar and is on the Top Station Highway. The route also contains multiple photo spots and tea estates which adds to the trip.

We wanted to try speed boating at the boating centre a kilometre away from the dam. But the place was heavily crowded since it was a Sunday and they told us to wait for 3 hours. So we did not try it. If you’re going, go there early morning in order to experience the speed boating.
